Egypt has a thriving fruit sector, but farms are under pressure from a reduction of the water sources and increasing salinity of these water sources. New approaches are required to give the farmers the opportunity to keep growing fruits under changing conditions.

SOWATR has been introducing several cover crop mixtures to help orchard farmers mitigate the effects of climate change while also improving the soil quality on their farms.
